My newest story, currently on submission!
Here’s a small glimpse:
Zane is summer and ginger snaps, the raw sienna of watercolors and the crunch of springtime frost. He is perfect, and Mackenzie Stuart occasionally remembers he isn’t real. He is her library, a boy whose personality and appearance is shaped by the books on her shelf. With novels to hide away in and the help of this cute boy with spy ciphers in his pockets, Mackenzie thinks she can survive any disaster—even high school. But one day when she runs to him for escape, Zane falls into a sleep that she can’t wake him from.
Hopefully I’ll have news about this magical realism story in coming months (and possibly some illustrations).
